Canoe Trip on the Little River

Join us for a fantastic float on the beautiful and scenic Little River in Montgomery County. We will put in at the WRC boat access point on Pekin Road at 1:00 pm. From there we’ll paddle upstream and back down on this gorgeous flat water section, exploring coves and spotting wildlife such as blue herons and kingfishers along the way. Heritage Hike at Uwharrie Mountain Festival

Just as the fall foliage begins to paint the landscape with its gorgeous red and orange hues, The LandTrust will host a beautiful and informative nature hike on our 1280-acre Low Water Bridge Preserve in Montgomery County during this year’s annual Uwharrie Mountain Festival. This hike will start at the road and take a wellworn path all the way down to the Uwharrie River. We’ll pass a variety of fall blooming wildflowers and stop off at a historic graveyard with some graves dating back to the 1700s. Please RSVP if you plan to attend.
