Daltonia Plantation
Iredell County
198 acres Conservation Easement
The first Iredell County project completed by The LandTrust, this
ultimately will result in the permanent protection over 625 acres in
Harmony. An appearance by then Governor Jim Hunt marking the protection
of the site noted the significance or protecting this cultural
landmark. The National Register plantation house is surrounded by steep
scenic hills, thick riparian woodlands teaming with wildlife, and a
unique bog listed on the county's Natural Heritage Inventory.
